A Kelowna woman was clipped by a car while out walking early this morning but the driver didn't stop and now police are asking the elderly person behind the wheel to step forward.
Kelowna RCMP say the 27-year-old pedestrian was hit at the corner of West Avenue and Pandosy Street at about 7:30 a.m. as she stepped east across Pandosy. The mirror of the red Mazda, driven by an unknown elderly woman, hit the younger woman who didn't immediately fall down. Police say the Mazda slowed but continued on its way.
The pedestrian went to hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Police are asking the driver to come forward and report the collision.
Anyone with information can call Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
