What’s new on Netflix Canada, CraveTV in May

A monthly look at what’s scheduled to be added to the catalogues of streaming services Netflix Canada and CraveTV:

Some of Netflix’s top original titles are returning this month, including a fifth season of “House of Cards” on May 30. Spoiler alert: The last season saw Frank Underwood waging war against an ISIS-style terrorist group and becoming increasingly embroiled in tense relations with Russia. Of course, a lot has changed in the real world since the last season first began shooting in 2015 and debuted last spring. Will the show feel a little less over-the-top in the Trump era? Also returning are “Master of None” (May 12), “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” (May 19) and “Bloodline” (May 26).

CraveTV has the much-anticipated return of cult favourite “Twin Peaks,” with the first two episodes available to stream on May 21. Director David Lynch teamed with Showtime for the 18-part revival, which continues 25 years after the murder of homecoming queen Laura Palmer. CraveTV also has the first two original seasons of the show available to catch up.
