VIDEO: Home destroyed by fire in South Okanagan

WILLOWBROOK – Fire crews worked to prevent a raging house fire from spreading to the surrounding bush in the South Okanagan community of Willowbrook Saturday night.

The Willowbrook Fire Department volunteers were called to the home on Green Lake Road at about 10:30 p.m., July 25.

A witness says everyone in the house, including the dogs, made it out safely as the flames destroyed their home.

Firefighters not only had to put out the inferno, they prevented the flames from spreading into the bush and saved the cars parked nearby.

No word on the cause of the fire.

  1. Sad to lose a home but glad there was no loss of life in this case. Fire fighters did a great job containing it to the immediate area.
