Overnight power outage frustrating for 4,000

WEST KELOWNA – A car hit a power pole in West Kelowna Saturday afternoon knocking out power for almost 4,000 B.C. Hydro customers.

It took the power company close to twelve hours to restore electricity following the crash at Shannon Lake Road and Bartley Road around 4:30 p.m.

People in the area had do without their lights, TV’s and other electronics overnight.

The power was restored at 4 a.m. Sunday, according to B.C. Hydro’s website.
