No sign of person who may have jumped from a Kamloops bridge

KAMLOOPS – Someone may have jumped from the Yellowhead Bridge into the South Thompson River this morning.

RCMP say they received a report about a person jumping from the bridge at about 7:37 a.m., August 1.

Both the RCMP boat and helicopter were launched to search river, but officers didn’t find the person, according to a media release.

Kamloops Fire Rescue also helped with the search.

Police say the investigation into the incident continues.
