Man in critical condition after being struck by train near Ashcroft, B.C.

ASHCROFT, B.C. – RCMP say a man is in critical condition after being hit by a train near Ashcroft, B.C.

Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says the man was walking on the CP Rail line, about 10 kilometres south of the village in the Thompson Okanagan region, when he was struck.

She says the evidence suggests he’d been enjoying a day of fishing before the “tragic” accident.

Saunderson says police are still trying to determine what happened. (CHNL)
