In this photo by Rick Rycroft, a work titled “Boolaloo” by artist Lou Lambert is on display as part of the Sculpture By The Sea exhibition in Sydney. The outdoor art exhibition in its 20th year features 104 sculptures by artists from 17 countries. A giant red thong, or flip-flop, and a rhinoceros buried in beach sand are among the other sculptures. Johannes Pannekoek was awarded the grand prize for “Change Ahead,” which he said was inspired by the twisting courses of rivers and of life. The sculptures will be exhibited on the Sydney coast until Nov. 6.
