KAMLOOPS – After a break from the heat we will need to again dig out the sunscreen for a hot and sunny weekend.
At 21 Celsius and 25 C the last two days brought temperatures well below seasonal normal highs of 29 Celsius as well as more than 11 millimetres of rain, but today, Aug. 7, through Sunday we can expect temperatures to climb to just above those seasonal normal highs.
Environment Canada is calling for temperatures to reach 30 C all three days, along with mainly sunny skies. Monday brings a high of 28 C and a chance of showers. Rain is expected throughout the region by Tuesday.
If you are heading out to the Shuswap or down to the Okanagan this weekend expect much the same from Mother Nature, with highs at, or just above, seasonal normal highs of 27 C and sunny skies.
