OKANAGAN – After a break from the heat we will need to again dig out the sunscreen for a hot and sunny weekend.
While temperatures were in the low- to mid-20s the last two days, just below seasonal normal highs of 27 Celsius, and were accompanied by up to eight millimetres of rain, we can expect temperatures to climb just above those seasonal normal highs today, Aug. 7, through Sunday.
Environment Canada is calling for temperatures to reach between 28 C and 32 C all three days in the Okanagan, along with mainly sunny skies.
Monday will be similar for temperatures but a chance of showers is expected overnight. Rain is expected throughout the region by Tuesday.
If you are heading up to the Shuswap or Kamloops areas this weekend expect much the same from Mother Nature, with highs at or just above seasonal normal highs and sunny skies.
