KAMLOOPS – Grab your sunscreen, hat and a cool drink, we have a hot, sunny and possibly record-breaking week ahead of us in Kamloops.
Temperatures easily soared above the seasonal normal highs of 29 Celsius over the weekend but expect things to be even hotter with temperatures forecast to hit as high as 38 C this week, just shy of record highs.
Environment Canada is calling for a high of 33 C today, Aug. 10, but then 36 C on Tuesday and 38 C on Wednesday. Thursday will also be hot, at 34 C but things should cool down Friday, with a high of only 23 C currently in the forecast.
The hot temperatures this week will be combined with sunny skies and when things cool down Friday, we can expect cloud cover and a 70 per cent chance of showers.
Seven of the first nine days of August recorded high temperatures above seasonal normal highs.
