KAMLOOPS – The driver of a car that rear-ended a semi-trailer was taken into custody Tuesday night on suspicions of impaired driving.
Just before 11 p.m. yesterday, Aug. 11, the driver of a westbound car hit a transport truck from behind, lost control and flipped the car on its roof on Highway 1 just past Peterson Creek Bridge, according to Cpl. Kelly Butler of Kamloops RCMP.
The highway was closed for a brief time while crews cleaned up.
Butler says the driver was uninjured but was taken into custody for investigation of impaired driving.
