Police: Woman working as lifeguard raped at pool

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Police say a woman working as a lifeguard was abducted and raped at a pool in Alexandria, Virginia.

WUSA-TV (http://on.wusa9.com/2bUrVNH ) reports that police say the assault happened Saturday just after 2 p.m.

Police say the 24-year-old woman was working at the pool when an unknown man approached her. She told police no one else was at the pool at the time.

She called police to say she had been abducted and raped and that the man was armed with a firearm. Police say that when the woman called for help the suspect fled.

Police are still searching for the suspect.

The medical condition of the woman was not immediately known.
