Lakeshore Road paving finally set to begin

KELOWNA – The stretch of Lakeshore Road between DeHart Road and McClure Road will get even slower in the coming weeks as crews finally begin paving the busy Mission corridor.

Up until Labour Day weekend, only one lane will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. and motorists are urged to give themselves extra time and to use alternative routes or use Barnaby Road and Gordon Drive as alternative routes.

Construction isn’t scheduled to be completed until spring 2016, however all but the final layer of asphalt will be finished by November.
