Clarification: Police Standoff-Cookies and Carols story
POTTSTOWN, Pa. – In some versions of a story Dec. 27, The Associated Press reported that a Pennsylvania police department relied on a song by Bing Crosby to end a Christmas standoff. The story should have specified that the song, “White Christmas,” was made famous by Crosby but was written by Irving Berlin.
