KAMLOOPS — The search for a wanted woman led police to arrest three people this morning with stolen property.
Kamloops RCMP believed a woman wanted on a warrant was at the Alpine Motel on Hugh Allen Drive when they showed up at 2:50 a.m. today.
"Officers knocked on the door in search of a female who they believed was in the room and who was the subject of three outstanding arrest warrants," RCMP Staff Sgt. Grant Learned said in a press release. "Inside the motel room, the officers observed a cache of property, some still bearing store price tags."
A 27-year-old Pinantan Lake man and two Kamloops women aged 30 and 22 were arrested and face charges of possession of stolen property.
RCMP believe the property — that included high end chrome rims — is connected with multiple property-related crimes in the Kamloops and Vernon areas.
A male in the room was known to police for other property-related crimes.
Police continue to investigate the incident and are trying to determine the owners of the stolen goods.
