ELECTION 2015: Mulcair set to rally in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – Kamloops residents trying to figure out which party they want to support in the upcoming federal election will get a chance to hear from one of the leaders at a rally this week.

New Democratic Party leader Tom Mulcair will be in Kamloops tomorrow, Sept. 1.

Mulcair will be speaking at the Rally for Change at the Coast Hotel from 6:30 and 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

This is Mulcair’s first stop in Kamloops during his Campaign for Change tour but he is also making stops in Penticton Monday along with Vernon and Salmon Arm Tuesday on his tour of the B.C. Interior. 

Candidate Bill Sundhu is representing the NDP in the Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo riding while Steve Powrie is representing the Liberal party. Cathy McLeod is once again representing the Conservatives and Matt Greenwood is representing the Green Party.

The federal election will be held Oct. 19, 2015.

Dana Reynolds is originally from Saskatchewan, but previous to Kamloops lived in Toronto for five years. She is well educated, obtaining her Masters of Arts from York University and Certificate of Broadcast Journalism from Seneca College.
