PRINCETON – The body of a 67-year-old man reported missing Canada Day was pulled from the Similkameen River July 2.
The man was reported missing from the Centennial public pool at 4:11 p.m., July 1. Princeton RCMP, Search and Rescue, a Police Dog Services and RCMP Air Services searched the surrounding area but the man wasn't located by nightfall and the search was called off and resumed in the morning.
The man's body was spotted by RCMP Air Services in the Similkameen River, about 11 km east of Princeton, and recovered.
Princeton RCMP and the B.C. Coroners Service are investigating this death.
