SUMMERLAND – Fans of the Amazing Race Canada will see some familiar sights next week.

The Summerland area will be featured in Wednesday’s episode of the hit CTV show where pairs of Canadians race around the world hoping to be the first to reach the final destination and claim the $250,000 prize.

Contestants will be sent to the Summerland Waterfront Resort where they will go through an obstacle course which includes wake boarding.

Filming for the tenth episode took place May 17 through May 26.

The third season of the Canadian version of the American show began airing July 8 and has taken couples to Halifax, Ottawa, India, Thailand, Saskatoon and elsewhere.

Season two, which was won by two best friends from Kamloops, also visited the Okanagan when contestants were sent to find the underwater Ogopogo in Kelowna.
