Evil queen from ‘Once Upon a Time’ serves gelato in Kelowna | iNFOnews.ca

KELOWNA – People started lining up in the morning at an Italian bistro in Kelowna for a chance to meet the actor who plays the evil queen in the ABC series “Once Upon a Time” on Saturday.

Lana Parrilla was helping to celebrate Il Travino’s one-year anniversary, Sept. 6 and hundreds turned up to catch a glimpse of the TV star.

Owner and chef Alessandro De Angelis says he met Parrilla while catering for her production in Vancouver four years ago.

“We’ve been friends ever since,” he says. Apparently Parrilla fell in love with his meatballs, calling them the best she had ever tasted.

This was her first visit to the Okanagan.
