Alleged bank robber makes a date with the judge

KELOWNA – Charges have been laid against a man arrested in connection to last month's robbery of a local CIBC.

The robbery took place at 2:33 p.m., June 23, at the CIBC branch located at 328 Bernard Avenue. A man wearing black clothes approached the teller, demanded money and took off with cash in hand.

Troy Thomas Gold, 31, was arrested and appeared in court Thursday. He's charged with robbery. Gold remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court again July 7.
