TORONTO – Citing actions “disappointing and inconsistent with the values and culture we believe in,” Toronto FC says it is handling internally “an issue with a player.”
A club spokesman confirmed that the player in question was Tsubasa Endoh, a 25-year-old Tokyo-born forward who has yet to see action for the MLS team this season.
Written comments of a sexual nature attributed to Endoh were posted on social media.
“We have addressed the matter internally with the player and we are confident in both the resolution to this issue and that our expectations for all representatives of our club will be met moving forward,” said the Toronto statement.
