Staffing challenges force temporary closure of some services at VJH

VERNON – Out-patient laboratory care at Vernon Jubilee Hospital Polson Tower will be closed Sundays starting July 6 due to a staff shortage.

The change will only last until the end of the month, according to a press release from Interior Health.

Waiting times will likely increase at the the Vernon Downtown Laboratory site with the increased burden.

Interior Health is currently training additional staff and they anticipate the return of regular out-patient service hours at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital laboratory in August.
