Return to seasonal normals in the Okanagan

OKANAGAN – The mercury soared heading into the weekend, but has dropped considerably coming out of it.

Temperatures were in the high-20s Friday and Saturday, well above seasonal normal highs of 20 Celsius. Sunday things cooled off to highs of 23 C in the North and Central Okanagan, but at 27 C remained quite a bit warmer in the South Okanagan.

This week highs of 17 C to 19 C are expected throughout the region with a mix of sun and cloud Monday, Sept. 14, and Tuesday and then cloud cover the rest of the week.

Environment Canada is also calling for a chance of rain Monday through Thursday.

Overnight low temperatures are expected to be at or just above seasonal normals of 7 C throughout the week.
