Vernon RCMP still looking for witnesses to Polson Park killing

VERNON – RCMP may have charged three people with murder in the death of Jason Hardy but the investigation continues.

Police spokesperson Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy issued a short release today, Sept. 30, issuing another plea for witnesses.

"Police are requesting anyone who was in the Polson Park area of Vernon from the evening of Aug. 25 to the early morning of Aug. 26, and hasn't already spoken to investigators, to contact the Vernon RCMP Detachment as soon as possible," she said.

She did not say why the release was issued now or provide any further information.

Hardy, 42, was found dead in Polson Park on Aug. 26.

On Sept. 2, RCMP announced they arrested a 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, and 18-year-old Brandon Wellington for second degree murder. On Sept. 9, police said they arrested a third person, Tal Kalum La Riviere, 28.
