3 fatally shot in possible murder-suicide in Los Angeles

Los Angeles police said three people were killed and two others injured in what appears to be a murder-suicide in the San Fernando Valley.

The watch commander at the Mission Hills police station said the shooting occurred Saturday night in an apartment building in Panorama City.

Three people were pronounced dead at the scene and two others were wounded.

The extent of their injuries has not been released.

Officer J. Kim told the Los Angeles Times (http://lat.ms/28tGMpO) one man and two women were fatally shot and that investigators believe the shooter was among the dead.

He said all of the victims were adults.
