Kelowna Rockets double up on Hurricanes in Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. – The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Lethbridge Hurricanes 6-3 on Sunday, Oct. 4, at the Enmax Centre in Lethbridge, improving to 4-2-0-0 on the season.

Gage Quinney scored twice to lead the offense while Jackson Whistle returned to the Rockets nets and turned aside 38 of 41 shots to earn the win.

The 'Canes outshot Kelowna 41-33 in the game but Whistle was solid in a first star performance.

Tyson Baillie opened the scoring with his sixth of the season while Dillon Dube, Justin Kirkland and Tomas Soustal also scored for Kelowna. Quinney, Baillie and Soustal all had three-point nights.

Kelowna improved to 2-1-0-0 on its current four game road trip through the WHL Central Division and will now have a day off on Monday before closing out the trip on Tuesday in Medicine Hat.

The Rockets return to Prospera Place on Friday to host the Victoria Royals.
