WEST KELOWNA – A small neighbourhood in West Kelowna was locked down today, Oct. 6, as RCMP raided a house on Thomas Road.
For several hours in the afternoon, RCMP, West Kelowna Fire Rescue and B.C. Ambulance were at 1120 Thomas Rd.
One neighbour, who wishes not to be identified, says the owner of the house, a man from Montreal, has a licence to grow marijuana but has been selling illegally.
"There's a lot of kids that go there and they sell drugs to anybody," the neighbour says.
Police blocked off Concord Road for most of the afternoon as they went through the house in the quiet neighbourhood.
As of 2:30 p.m. all roads were reopened to residents however police remain at the scene.
RCMP refused to comment on whether or not any arrests have been made.
