Shark bites teen at NC beach, injuries non-life-threatening

ATLANTIC BEACH, N.C. – A teenager was bitten by a shark on Saturday afternoon at Atlantic Beach.

WNCN-TV (http://bit.ly/1Yil8ju ) reports that Atlantic Beach Police Chief Jeff Harvey says an 18-year-old man suffered bites to his hands and wrist from a three foot shark in three-feet-deep water.

The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The beach remained open after the incident.
