New web show lets you sip and learn about Okanagan wine in your slippers

SUMMERLAND – Looking for an alternative to stuffy shows that teach you about the Okanagan’s favourite beverage?

There’s a new local wine review show hosted by a cast of colourful characters that features interviews and information about the Okanagan’s best wines and wineries.

Sipping with Slippers premiered on YouTube in late September. They recently released their second and third videos in which the three hosts and their dog go on location — wearing slippers of course — at some of the most popular wineries in Summerland.

The cast includes characters called Original Sip, Over Sip, Sneaky Sip and Gewurztraminer the Wiener Dog. They review a Silkscarf Roussanne Viognier, an 8th Generation Confidence, a Haywire Rose from Okanagan Crush Pad Winery, a Heaven's Gate Merlot Malbec and a Heaven's Gate Rose.

"I feel sorry for people that don't drink because when they wake up in the morning that is the best they are going to feel all day,” Sneaky Sip says.
