Royals blank Kelowna Rockets at home

KELOWNA – The Victoria Royals defeated the Kelowna Rockets 3-0 on Friday night at Prospera Place in the team's first game back from a lengthy road trip.

The Rockets fall to 5-3-0-0 on the season with the loss.

The game was scoreless through two periods of play with goalies Jackson Whistle of Kelowna and Coleman Vollrath of Victoria keeping the shooters at bay.

The Royals scored two straight goals in the third period to take a 2-0 lead and then added an empty-netter to earn the win.

The Rockets are back in action on Wednesday when they host the Red Deer Rebels at Prospera Place in the first Hat Trick Wednesday game of the season in Kelowna.

Fans can purchase a hot dog, pop and a ticket to the game for $19.99. Order tickets through Select Your Tickets.
