Looking for a forever home; Vernon SPCA pet of the week

Haysha is a long-legged girl who was surrendered as her previous owner did not have enough time for such an active dog.

Haysha is a very loving animal that wants to be everywhere that you are and has definitely earned the nickname Shadow.

When Haysha is alone she can become anxious and a plan would need to be in place for extended periods of time by herself. Haysha is very gentle and has lived very well with young children and cats; however she does not get along with all dogs.

Someone with some experience and willingness to work on her reactivity towards dogs is essential.

She knows her basic commands like sit, stay, heel and down.

Haysha is a very active dog and will enjoy hiking, running and off leash opportunities; she is currently looking for an active family that can help her burn off some of her energy and a family that is home often or goes on outings where Haysha is welcome to join. She loves balls and toys, and will happily play for hours.

If you are interested in meeting this gentle giant please inquire with a staff member at the Vernon SPCA.

Haysha's Animal ID number is 378098.
