VIDEO: Local mountain bikers hits the hills of Utah for stunning night ride

THOMPSON-OKANAGAN – It was a night ride like no other, and it’s all captured on video to showcase the world in light and colour.

Kamloops natives and professional mountain bikers Graham Agassiz, Matty Miles and Matt Hunter take us through the hills of Utah at night in Darklight.

Special lights are used on the bikes and to add breathtaking colour to the scenes as Agassiz, Hunter and Miles whip through the hills and forests. The jumps and tricks are made even more stunning by the lights and the stark contrast of the shadows on the ‘moonscapes’ is surreal.

The video was shot over three weeks during the midnight hours and involved a crew of 27 and thousands of pounds of camera and lighting gear.
