Tell the Ministry of Transportation what you think of their plan for Westside Road
WEST KELOWNA – The public is invited to share their ideas about planned improvements for Westside Road from Waterfront Farm To Blue Grouse.
The open house is today until 8 p.m. at Wilson Landing Firehall, 2396, Westside Rd., Kelowna.
Upgrades for the 800 metre stretch of road include expansion to two lanes, each 3.6 m wide with a 1.3 m paved shoulder, rockslide barrier, ditch widening and slpe protection for rock catchment and a 70 km speed limit.
During construction, work in areas with a steep rock slope could result in closures throughout the day. The province wants feedback on the proposed design as well as timing for road closures.
Senior project manager Spencer King will be at the open house to answer questions. Anyone unable to attend can send comments or questions to Spencer King.
