Man arrested after pulling his pants down outside Kamloops elementary school

KAMLOOPS – A man who pulled his pants down in a Valleyview elementary school this morning, Oct. 23, triggered an RCMP response after staff members saw him in the hallway.

Const. Jason Epp, a spokesperson for the Kamloops RCMP, says the man walked up to Marion Schilling Elementary during a professional development day and a staff member caught him standing outside a window with his pants down.

The staff member called the principal who, in turn, phoned police. The man fled the school but was caught by RCMP.

“He was located a short distance away where he was arrested for this incident as well as an unrelated warrant from Kelowna,” Epp says in a media release.

The man is known to police and will remain in custody as the investigation continues, he says.
