House under construction burns at Sun Peaks
KAMLOOPS – Fire destroyed a house under construction at Sun Peaks Mountain Resort last night.
The municipality’s mayor Al Raine says fire crews got the call just before 8 p.m., Oct. 23, to a house on Bella Vista Drive.
When firefighters arrived the building was fully engulfed in flames, Raine says.
He says the basement was finished and the framing for the first floor was up and that’s what burnt.
Crews had the fire under control in about 10 minutes.
No one was hurt and investigators are looking for the cause.
