Kelowna Rockets blank Hitmen

The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Calgary Hitmen 3-0 on Saturday night, Oct. 24, at Prospera Place in Kelowna, winning its third straight WHL game.

Jackson Whistle stopped all 26 shots he faced to earn his first shutout of the season as the Rockets improved to 9-4-0-0 on the season with the win.

In a tightly-contested game, rookie Kole Lind staked the Rockes to a 1-0 lead with his third goal of the season midway through the first period.

Dillon Dube converted a nice pass from Tyson Baillie at the halfway point of the third period to give Kelowna a 2-0 lead before Cole Linaker added an empty net goal for insurance.

Tyson Baillie chipped in with two helpers in an evenly played contest. The shots were 26-26.

The Rockets are now idle until next weekend when they play home games on Friday and Saturday nights.

On Friday, Kelowna will play host to Prince George before the Lethbridge Hurricanes visit Kelowna Saturday night.
