Semi versus camper on Trans-Canada near Salmon Arm

SALMON ARM – No one was seriously hurt when a semi sideswiped a pickup pulling a camper on the Trans-Canada Highway near Salmon Arm Sunday night.

Police say the tractor trailer was eastbound on Highway 1 just east of Salmon Arm around 6 p.m., Oct. 25, when it crossed the centre line and sideswiped the truck and camper.

The driver of the truck suffered some minor injuries while the pickup was badly damage and the camper was destroyed.

The driver of the semi was charged under the provincial Motor Vehicle Act.
