FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – A winter storm warning continues in northern Arizona with up to a foot of snow expected along with windy and chilly conditions.
After Flagstaff received a few inches of snow Tuesday, National Weather Service meteorologists say between 8 inches (20 centimetres) to 12 inches (30 centimetres) of snow is predicted to fall on the area by Wednesday.
They say the North Rim of the Grand Canyon could get up to 16 inches (40 centimetres) of snow.
The weather service forecasts wind gusts in Williams, Flagstaff and Winslow to range between 40 mph and 46 mph with wind-chill factors of 3 degrees in Flagstaff and minus 3 on the North Rim.
