The Latest: Troopers release name of man killed in crash

TOK, Alaska – The Latest on a fatal Alaska Highway crash (all times local):

1:45 p.m.:

Alaska State Troopers have released the name of the man killed Sunday morning in a one-vehicle crash on the Alaska Highway.

Troopers say 19-year-old Carlton Pete of Copper Center died in the crash.

Troopers and emergency responders in Tok received a report on the crash shortly before 10 a.m. Sunday.

Troopers say Pete’s pickup left the roadway and overturned.

A driver died Sunday morning in a crash on the Alaska Highway.

Alaska State Troopers and emergency medical personnel from Tok responded to the crash shortly before 10 a.m.

Troopers say a vehicle left the roadway and flipped. The driver died at the scene.

The driver’s next of kin has been notified but the name and gender of the driver has not been released.
