Crash into tree claims life of Chase man

CHASE – A Chase man is dead after crashing his pickup into a tree in Chase last night.

RCMP were called to the single vehicle crash on Notch Hill Road, near McKenzie Road, at 6:40 p.m., Nov. 4, according to a media release.

The 60-year-old driver, and lone occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crews from the Sorrento and Chase Fire Departments assisted police.

RCMP and B.C. Coroners Service are investigating.

The man’s name hasn’t been released.
