Dutch police arrest man seen with ski mask on terror charges

THE HAGUE, Netherlands – Dutch police have arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of “preparing a terror crime” after he was spotted driving through the southern city of Eindhoven last week wearing a ski mask.

In a statement Wednesday, prosecutors said a search of the man’s home uncovered a computer drive containing propaganda for the Islamic State group, a ski mask, a knife, tie wraps and a two-way radio. They didn’t find any explosives or firearms.

The suspect, whose identity was not released in line with Dutch privacy rules, appeared Tuesday before an investigating judge who ordered him jailed for two weeks while investigations continue.

No further details were immediately available.
