Ohio-based amusement park chain says attendance up again

SANDUSKY, Ohio – Amusement park operator Cedar Fair Entertainment says attendance is up so far this year after a record-setting season in 2015.

The Ohio-based company that operates both Cedar Point along Lake Erie and Kings Island near Cincinnati says out-of-park revenue that includes its hotels is up 6 per cent while attendance is up 1 per cent.

Cedar Fair brought in a record 24.4 million people at its 14 theme parks and water parks last year.

Its amusement parks include Knott’s Berry Farm near Los Angeles, Canada’s Wonderland outside Toronto, and Carowinds near Charlotte, North Carolina.
