Environment Canada is calling for highs of just 0 Celsius to 2 C throughout the weekend, just below seasonal normals of 3 C, while overnight lows are expected to drop to -7 tonight, Nov. 20, and then -5 C and -4 C the rest of the weekend. The normal temperature low at this time of year is -3 C.
We can expect mainly sunny skies today, followed by a mix of sun and cloud the rest of the weekend, though a chance of snow will greet us to start the next week.
The forecast for area highway passes is mainly sunny today with fog patches this morning, followed by a clear sky overnight for most of the area passes. Many higher elevation highways are reporting compact snow with slushy sections Friday morning.
