KAMLOOPS – Operations are back to normal at the Tournament Capital Centre in Kamloops today after officers from the RCMP Serious Crimes Unit found no explosives in the building.
A bomb threat was received around 2:30 p.m. yesterday, Nov. 20, which triggered a heavy police response. The centre was evacuated and closed, as was the Open Learning building next door.
Kamloops RCMP Const. Jason Epp says in a media release a bomb sniffing dog searched the centre yesterday evening but did not find any explosive materials.
Epp says the investigation into the origin of the phone call continues.
