LILLOOET – When you’re tempted to yell at the weather man because there’s snow in the forecast, remember the key to living a long, full life could be in the white stuff.
Armand Foisy posted a video to Facebook sweet enough to melt your heart earlier this week. It shows his 101-year-old mother Albina playing in the snow near Lillooet.
“Here’s proof that if you find pure joy in the simple things you can live a 100 years,” Foisy says in his video.
He explains they could see the snow level was low, so they took a drive to check it out. A few kilometres from town they found the snow and before he could turn the car around and get back on the road his mom threw the door open and got out to play in the snow.
“When you have a mother that’s 101 years old, it’s a good idea to keep a camera nearby for those special moments — this is on of those,” he says in the video introduction.
The centenarian giggles as she packs a snowball and then throws it into the bush.
“Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my,” she giggles the whole time. “It’s kind of fun to play in the snow.”
When was the last time you played in the snow?
