PENTICTON – A man with a criminal record stretching back to 1979 was arrested for peddling morphine in a Penticton parking lot.
Leonard Joseph Cantin, 50, was taken into custody in the 1300 block of Main Street yesterday. Mounties discovered he had 35 previous convictions including nine for drug trafficking offences.
Cantin was held for a court appearance scheduled for today where he was charged with one count of trafficking. He plead guilty and was sentenced to one year in jail.
