Kip Moore tour coming to the South Okanagan

PENTICTON – Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Kip Moore is bringing his rocking country to Penticton next year.

The 2016 Wild Ones tour has been extended to include extra stops in Canada, including the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton, according to a press release from the events centre.

Moore’s album Wild Ones is a mix of blue-collar country music and rock and roll and hits like Hey, Pretty Girl, Something About a Truck, and Beer Money, will likely be part of the concert playlist.

Moore’s first album, Up All Night, was released in 2012, becoming the best selling debut album by a male artist in 2012 and 2013. Each song on Moore’s sophomore album was written on the road and recorded in between the more than 200 shows Moore played last year.

Moore takes to the stage in Penticton on Friday, Feb. 19, along with opening act, The Cadillac Three, a band named UK Classic Rock and Roll of Honour Awards Best new band.

Tickets, which start at $29, go on sale Friday, Nov. 27, at 10 a.m. and are available in person, at the Valley First Box Office at the South Okanagan Events Centre, or at the Wine Country Visitor Centre.

The only other B.C. tour date is Abbotsford on Feb. 20, though Moore is making stops in Edmonton and Calgary leading up to the Penticton show as well.
