Blasting activity begins in West Kelowna

WEST KELOWNA – The City of West Kelowna is advising the public that blasting activity related to subdivision construction east of East Boundary Road, to the north of the Vineyard Drive neighbourhood will occur over the next four weeks.

A blasting permit has been issued to Victor Projects Ltd. for site construction and servicing for property at East Boundary Road in West Kelowna. Blasting is required to excavate rock for the residential development.

Blasting will be allowed Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. As part of WorkSafe B.C. requirements, safety sirens will be sounded before the blast and once the area is cleared. The blasting company will monitor for vibrations caused by the blast.
