The man killed while riding his bicycle on the Trans-Canada Highway last night has been identified.
He was Richard David Dean McGillivray, 57, from Kamloops.
The B.C. Coroners Service says McGillivray was riding his bicycle eastbound on Highway 1 about 22 km west of Kamloops just before 6 p.m. when he was in a collision with a commercial panel truck traveling in the same direction. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation into this death continues. The family of McGillivray has been notified.

A cyclist was killed on the Trans-Canada Highway last night after being allegedly 'clipped' by a vehicle coming from behind.
Kamloops Rural RCMP responded to the accident on the highway near Rodeo Drive.
The 57-year-old man riding the bicycle was pronounced dead on scene.
"Preliminary investigation revealed that the cyclist was heading eastbound… on the shoulder when he was clipped by an eastbound vehicle," said RCMP Sgt. Rodrigue in a press release issued last night at 6 p.m.
An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
