WINFIELD – A break and enter was foiled thanks to vigilant neighbours.
At about 5:40 p.m. June 9, the alleged thieves entered a shop on the 3500 block of Redecopp Road in Winfield by taking out a window at the rear of the building then unlocked the large front door so they could load the stolen goods. The two male suspects were trying to load a compressor when they were spotted by neighbours.
They took off in a newer blue car with a partial plate number 988.
The thieves were able to take an orange Stihl gas powered weed eater, a yellow Dewalt 12 inch compound mitre saw and a yellow Dewalt construction radio.
